Greetings From Spain! Xo Britt
What's up #SEBfamily?
I know we haven't talked in awhile, so I wanted to just stop in to check-up and check-in with all of you! Did I mention I'm currently living on the Island of Lanzarote in Spain? Well if you didn't know, now you do! :@). I can say there's like a gazillion reasons why I made the decision, but the only one that really matters and would be the truth is, it is what was best for me! I won't live in Spain forever, in fact it is my goal to travel to as many countries as I can this year and in my lifetime. Live as a global citizen, on a budget, of course. My ticket to Europe was $140 USD, pretty ridiculous right?
If you know any of the Spoonie Essentials Box back story, then you know my nick name is "Inspector Gadget" because of my mastery of googling things. Lol. Really I just have insomnia so I have more time than most people to look things up, but really you can find some incredible deals online that are not available in-person. I consider it an added bonus of the Chronic Illness Life, I used too not be able to go in person most places to the internet became my gateway to anywhere I wanted to go.
Sometimes it is very hard to make decisions for ourselves that we know will hurt the people around us. That will make them feel a way in which we know can happen ,but we do not intend. But the thing I've learned during my Chronic Illness Experience, is that no matter how much I love someone I have to love myself more.
I owe it to myself to do what is best for me. Just like I believe each and every one of you do, you owe it to you to live. Really live. That doesn't have to be traveling the world, but it should look like you living your life on purpose and for yourself. Whether that is not replying to text messages when being social would drain my energy. Deciding to outsource to a fulfillment center that cost money, but saves my energy and does't worsen my health. Or moving abroad for awhile because I needed too. I owe it to myself because we only live once, we don't get do overs as far as I know, and the only one on my death bed going to be regretting anything is me.
You owe it to yourself to love you more. Taking the best care of you starts with loving you, all of you because you matter. Your sanity matters. Your peace matters. Your happiness matters. Your health matters. You living your life, for you matters. You have to love yourself enough to make your path down the road to better health and self discovery yours, not anyone else's.
Please love yourself, because I already do!
Until next time, remember #SelfCare is never selfish, living the best version of your life is entirely up to YOU.
Ciao!
